REGINA — Regina city council has directed city staff to study ways to improve construction, including extended or 24-hour work and better communication with businesses, and to return with a report by the first quarter of 2027.
The motion, carried at the March 25 meeting, does not change any construction policies yet. Administration will review project scheduling, procurement, work hours and ways to minimize disruption for residents and businesses.
Council will debate any changes after receiving the report next year. The move aims to find ways to speed up projects while keeping affected communities informed.
