UNITY — The Unity RCMP responded to the following calls during the week of March 17 to 23.
RCMP received a complaint of an individual not complying with an undertaking condition but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
Members are investigating a complaint of a stolen vehicle.
RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members located the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.
Members assisted an individual who was having difficulty exiting a public building.
Police received a complaint of harassing communications. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint.
RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members received a complaint of fraud but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of an individual taking a motor vehicle without consent. This matter is still under investigation.
RCMP received a report of an injured deer on the highway. Members attended and euthanized the animal.
Members are investigating a complaint of theft.
A 59-year-old male from Unity was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.
Police spoke to an individual regarding a custody dispute.
RCMP received a report of an individual in possession of a weapon. This matter is still under investigation.
There were also five traffic complaints and one false 911 call.
