SASKATOON — A 21-year-old woman arrested after imitation firearm was discharged at a taxi in Saskatoon early Thursday morning.
Police were called shortly before 3:30 a.m. on March 26 to the area of 20th Street West and Avenue U South for what was initially reported as an unknown problem. While officers were enroute, dispatch received additional information indicating that a woman riding a bicycle had fired something toward a nearby taxi, shattering one of its windows.
Officers searched the area and located a woman matching the suspect description near 20th Street West and Avenue V South. She was arrested without incident. Police say she was found in possession of an imitation firearm.
The woman was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, mischief under $5,000, and breach of probation.
