SASKATCHEWAN — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of southern and central Saskatchewan.
"A late-season snowfall will impact portions of southern Saskatchewan beginning mid Sunday evening [March 29] over western areas, and spreading eastward through Sunday night," the advisory states.
Five to 10 centimetres of snow is generally expected over most areas, however a heavier band of 10-15 centimetres is expected through Moose Jaw, Regina and southeastward through Moosomin to the Manitoba border.
The snow will continue through the day March 30 before tapering off early the following morning.
The cities of Regina and Moose Jaw are included in the statement, as are communities within more than 100 RMs. Swift Current, Weyburn, Estevan and Carlyle
Heavy, accumulating snow may impact Monday morning rush hour traffic.
