REGINA — An adult and a youth have been charged after a stabbing Saturday.
March 28, at approximately 9:55 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Rae Street where they located a male victim outside a residence. He had been stabbed and bear-sprayed, say police. The victim was transported by EMS to hospital to be treated for what appeared to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
With the assistance of the canine unit, police located two suspects a short time later in the 2600 block of Dewdney Avenue. Both males were taken into custody without incident.
As a result of this investigation, 18-year-old man is charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm; and
- Fail to Comply with the Condition of a Release Order.
He made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court Monday morning.
A 17-year-old male, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
The youth will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on May 13.
