LAKE DIEFENBAKER — Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory — Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety — Conservation officers are investigating a waste of fish on Lake Diefenbaker.
On March 29, Outlook conservation officers received a Turn in Poachers call regarding yellow perch that had been left to waste on Lake Diefenbaker near the Eastside Pump Station along Gardiner Dam. Conservation officers responded to the call and found a total of seven yellow perch partially frozen and believed to have been caught and abandoned on March 28.
A group of anglers was seen fishing on March 28 in the area where the perch were abandoned. Evidence was collected from the scene. Conservation officers are asking for the public’s help with any information related to these events.
