SASKATOON — Police are investigating an aggravated assault after a woman was seriously injured in an early morning attack.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Avenue C South at around 3:40 a.m. on March 31 for a report of an injured person.
Police say a female victim had allegedly been assaulted with a machete and the suspect was not at the scene when officers arrived.
A 32-year-old woman was located and transported to hospital by paramedics. Her injuries were later determined to be serious but non-life-threatening.
