REGINA — It's that time of year again. Here's a traffic restriction to watch out for.
Albert Street North Overpass
From April 3 at 7 p.m. to April 6 at 6 a.m. Ring Road at the Albert Street North Overpass will be restricted to two-way traffic on the westbound lane to allow for bridge demolition.
The City of Regina says the work is part of a two-year project that will support a vital commuter and trucking route by replacing and upgrading the Albert Street North overpasses while reusing much of their existing foundations. The southbound overpass was replaced in 2025. The northbound overpass will be replaced in 2026.
The new structures will be raised to reduce potential damage from over-height vehicles and will include upgraded barriers and guardrails that meet modern safety standards. When completed in October 2026, this project will deliver two fully refurbished overpasses that will safely support Regina's transportation network for decades to come.
