ONION LAKE – Onion Lake RCMP have arrested a woman after seizing methamphetamine and cocaine from a vehicle.
Onion Lake RCMP seized illicit drugs during a proactive traffic stop in Onion Lake.
On March 28, at around 2:10 a.m., Onion Lake RCMP were making proactive patrols in the detachment area and pulled over a car. As part of this investigation, and in a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers seized alcohol, drug paraphernalia, and unstamped tobacco. During a search of one of the passengers, officers also seized 15 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of cannabis, 15 grams of cocaine, cash, a cellphone and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The three occupants of the car were all arrested.
As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old woman, from Onion Lake, is charged with two counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking.
She is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster provincial court on May 20.
The driver and the other passenger were released without charges.
Onion Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
