REGINA — A robbery at a Regina business led to an arrest after police tracked down a suspect vehicle shortly after the incident.
Police were called to a business within the Normanview neighbourhood n the 5000 block of Sherwood Drive at approximately 12:10 p.m. on April 2 following a report of a robbery.
Officers learned a male suspect went behind the counter, stole merchandise and fled the scene in a vehicle with another individual.
While officers processed the scene and gathered information, additional units searched the area for the suspect vehicle.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., police located a vehicle matching the description in the 1000 block of Pasqua Street. A traffic stop was conducted, and two individuals matching the descriptions were taken into custody without incident.
One individual was later released without charges after it was determined they were not involved in the offence.
As a result of the investigation, one person has been charged with robbery.
The accused made a first court appearance on April 6 in Regina Provincial Court.
