NIPAWIN — A 30-year-old man from Red Earth Cree Nation is dead following a collision involving a pedestrian early Friday morning.
Nipawin RCMP said officers were called at approximately 1:10 a.m. to Highway 55 east of Nipawin after receiving a report of a collision.
Emergency responders, including local fire services and EMS, attended the scene. The pedestrian was declared dead by EMS.
Police say the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene.
The victim’s family has been notified.
Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
