CANADA — A recall has been issued for Bissell attachments on the Steam Shot OmniReach and Steam Shot Omni steam cleaners across North America.
The recall says the attachments can unexpectedly detach from the steam cleaners, expelling hot water or steam onto users during use, posing a burn hazard. As of March 19, Bissell received one report of hot water or steam escaping from the attachments in Canada, resulting in a burn injury. In the United States, 205 reports of hot water or steam escaping have been made, with 160 reports of burn injuries.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled attachments and contact Bissell to receive free replacement attachments.
