The Ag Transport Coalition reports week 35 saw continued improvement in performance at the system level as well as for each of CN and CPKC Rail individually.
CN and CPKC combined supplied 85% of hopper cars ordered, an improvement from the 80% performance seen in week 34 and the best performance seen since week 25 in mid January.
System performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for an eleventh consecutive week, but has now been 80% or better for two consecutive weeks.
In supplying 91% of cars ordered by shippers in week 35, CN saw performance improve from the 85% order fulfillment performance seen in week 34.
This marks the best performance seen from CN since week 22 in late December.
CN performance hits the 90% threshold for the first time in eleven weeks.
Meanwhile, iGrain n supplying 79% of shipper orders, CPKC saw performance improve for a second straight week, improving from the 75% order fulfillment performance seen in week 34.
While this represents CPKC's best performance in more than two months, performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a tenth straight week and below the 80% threshold for a ninth consecutive week.
