CARLYLE — A Redvers man has been charged with wilful promotion of hatred, following an investigation that lasted nearly a year.
According to a news release from the Saskatchewan RCMP, on April 16, 2025, the Carlyle RCMP received a report of hateful material being posted online in a public forum.
"An investigation determined that an individual was wilfully promoting hatred against an identifiable group," the RCMP said.
As a result of this investigation and in consultation with the Saskatchewan Crown Prosecutions office, the Saskatchewan RCMP says 35-year-old Travis Patron of Redvers is charged with one count of wilful promotion of hatred as per the Criminal Code.
