BATTLEFORDS – Seven individuals are facing charges after two trucks fled from Battlefords RCMP.
On April 13 at approximately 12:15 p.m., Battlefords RCMP initiated a traffic stop on a Ford truck on 110 Street in North Battleford.
The officer identified the driver as a wanted male. The officer activated their vehicle’s lights and sirens. The driver fled from police.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., Battlefords RCMP Detachment officers, along with Saskatchewan RCMP officers with Battlefords Crime Reduction Team (CRT), Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST), and Police Dog Services (PDS), located the male driver on Forest Hall Road, approximately 10 km east of Highway 4.
Officers observed the male and multiple other individuals on the road near the Ford truck and a Dodge truck. Officers approached the group with lights and sirens activated on their police vehicles.

At approximately 2 p.m., officers located the Dodge truck near Rabbit Lake and observed the male driver running through a field. Officers arrested the five adult occupants who remained near the truck – one female and four males. One male was later released without charges. PDS tracked, located and arrested the male driver.
While searching the Dodge truck, officers located a large sum of cash under the driver’s seat. During searches of the arrested individuals, officers located and seized two pairs of brass knuckles and an edged weapon.
