REGINA — A 27-year-old woman is facing a robbery charge after a bear spray attack at a Victoria Avenue East business sent several victims to receive medical treatment earlier this week.
According to Regina Police Service, on April 14, at about 3:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to a commercial business downtown in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue East following reports of a weapons offence involving bear spray.
Officers arrived at the scene and found several people suffering from the effects of the chemical irritant. EMS arrived and provided treatment on scene for those in need. One individual was taken to hospital for further assessment.
The next day, police arrested a woman and charged her with robbery.
She will appear in Regina Provincial Court on April 16.
