REGINA — The Regina Police Service is investigating a weapons offence after a man was stabbed and assaulted in downtown Regina over the weekend.
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of 11th Avenue at approximately 10:35 p.m. on April 18, following a report that a man had been stabbed.
When officers arrived, they learned that the victim had been walking with two other people when they were approached by four suspects riding bicycles. Two of the suspects got off and confronted the victim, stabbing him and physically assaulting him before fleeing the scene.
The victim was taken by EMS to hospital to be treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
