REGINA — A man walking to work was chased by three suspects demanding money early Sunday morning, leading to the arrest of three people and the seizure of a firearm, a knife, and bear spray.
Police were called to the North Central neighbourhood of Regina, in the 4000 block of 5th Avenue around 7:40 a.m. on April 19, after reports of a suspicious person. When officers arrived, they spoke with a victim who said he was approached by three male suspects. The suspects demanded money from the victim, chasing him to his workplace, where he was able to lock the door and call police. The suspects then fled the scene.
Moments later, additional patrol officers located and arrested the three suspects. A search following the arrests, turned up the weapons.
All three appeared in Regina Provincial Court on April 20 to faces charges including robbery and various weapons-related offences.
