SASKATOON — An 18-year-old Saskatoon man is recovering in hospital after being beaten with a baton and a BB gun during a robbery in the Mount Royal neighbourhood.
Police were called to St. Paul’s Hospital at about 7:30 p.m. on April 21, where the victim arrived seeking treatment for his injuries. The man told investigators that the attack occurred approximately two to three hours earlier, while he was walking in the area of the 2100 block of 22nd Street West.
He reported being approached by two unknown males who demanded his bag. When he didn’t immediately hand it over, the suspects struck him with a baton and what appeared to be a BB gun before fleeing with the bag.
The first suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old with short black hair. He was not wearing a shirt and is heavily tattooed with the word "gang" on both forearms. He was wearing red Nike Tech pants, white Nike Air Force 1 shoes and a gold chain.
The second suspect is described as also being between 20 and 30 years of age with short black hair. He was wearing a green shirt, black pants, brown hat and black Nike high tops with a gold swoosh. He had "Rose" tattooed on the side of his neck.
