PRINCE ALBERT — Police are searching for Wilbur Young, 35, who was mistakenly released from custody on April 23.
Young was released as a result of an administrative error following his sentencing, say authorities. He had been remanded on Nov. 20, 2025, and later received a 32-day custodial sentence for assault.
Young is about 6'0", 200 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair. He is known to have connections to Red Earth First Nation. The Prince Albert Police Service and Carrot River RCMP have been notified and are assisting in the search.
