For years, the Flin Flon Bombers have been knocking on the door. Close calls, heartbreak, and “almost” became a frustrating pattern. But not this time.
The Bombers are champions again.
For the first time since that unforgettable 1993 run—ironically a dramatic seven-game battle with Melville Millionaires—Flin Flon has captured the SJHL title, and they did it emphatically. A four-game sweep of the Yorkton Terriers leaves no doubt: this was their moment.
After five final appearances since 2016, the narrative has finally changed. This wasn’t just about winning—it was about finishing. About proving that this group, and this organization, could get the job done when it mattered most.
And at the centre of it all is head coach Mike Reagan. Few have endured the kind of near-misses he has behind that bench. Year after year, building contenders, only to fall just short. This title isn’t just a victory—it’s validation. Persistence paid off.
To the players, the staff, and a fan base that never stopped believing—this one’s earned.
Now, the focus shifts east to Summerside, P.E.I. and the Centennial Cup. The Bombers carry not just a championship banner, but momentum—and the belief that their story might not be finished yet.
And on the other side, a tip of the cap to Emery Olauson and the Yorkton Terriers. This was a season that reignited something in Yorkton. The energy, the crowds, the pride—it felt like Terrier hockey mattered again. And if this run is any indication, that momentum isn’t going anywhere.
In Flin Flon, though, the wait is over.
The Bombers are back on top.
