The Ag Transport Coalition says week 37 saw performance improve across the board – on a system basis and for each railway individually.
CN and CPKC Rail combined, supplied 84% of hopper cars ordered, an improvement from the 77% performance seen in week 36.
System performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a thirteenth consecutive week and returns above the 80% threshold for the third time in the last four weeks.
In supplying 87% of cars ordered by shippers in week 37, CN saw performance improve from the 80% order fulfillment performance seen in week 36.
CN performance remains below the 90% threshold for a second straight week but at 80% or better for a fourth straight week.
Meanwhile, in supplying 81% of shipper orders, CPKC saw performance improve from the 73% order fulfillment performance seen in week 36.
CPKC performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a twelfth straight week, and returns above the 80% threshold for the second time in the last three weeks.
