SASKATOON — A man and two women are facing charges after an early morning evade police incident.
At approximately 4:45 a.m., May 11, patrol officers spotted a stolen Toyota Matrix at Clarence Avenue and 8th Street East. They attempted to make a traffic stop but the driver of the stolen vehicle refused and began evading police, fleeing the area.
Officers didn’t pursue but located the vehicle a short time later at 33rd Street and Edmonton Avenue. It had been abandoned. The three suspects were located nearby. The two women were taken into custody without incident. The male suspect was captured by the SPS Canine Unit. The male was treated at the scene with injuries consistent with a dog bite.
The 28-year-old man is facing charges including dangerous driving and evading police.
The 14-year-old female is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon and possession of methamphetamine.
The 27-year-old woman is charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon.
