SASKATOON — One woman was arrested downtown after being found in possession of a knife on Monday afternoon.
On May 11, at around 5:35 p.m., police were called to the area of 24th Street East and Pacific Avenue for a weapons complaint where it was reported that a female had brandished a knife. Officers located a woman matching the suspect description shortly after near 23rd Street and Ontario Avenue. The woman initially attempted to flee from police but was eventually detained for a weapons investigation.
Officers located a folding knife on her during a search when she was arrested, also located methamphetamine.
The 39-year-old woman has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and breach of an undertaking.
