SASKATOON — A man arrested following a major drug bust by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) in the Stonebridge neighbourhood will be tried in Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench.
Ashwinger Singh Sarao, 21, appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on May 13, where he was remanded and committed to stand trial. A trial date will be set at a later time.
He faces nine charges related to drug trafficking and proceeds of crime. The charges were laid on Nov. 6, 2025, after SPS Crime Reduction Team (CRT) initiated an enforcement action in the 1100 block of Kolynchuk Link.
Sarao was arrested at the scene. After his arrest, police executed a search warrant at a home and seized $22,513 CAD, 743.2 grams of fentanyl, 552.9 grams of methamphetamine, 362 grams of cocaine, 750 mL of gamma-hydroxybutyrate, multiple mobile phones, and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
