SASKATOON — Saskatoon police arrested a 21-year-old Edmonton man and a 23-year-old Winnipeg man 14 following a coordinate enforcement effort with the Crime Reduction Team and the Tactical Support Unit.
Just after 6 p.m. on May 14, police carried out the arrest in the east side, in the 2000 block of Stilling Lane.
CRT investigators and TSU members then conducted a traffic stop on a FLIX Bus South of Blackstrap Lake, just before 7 p.m. A 23-year-old man from Winnipeg, Man., was arrested without incident on the bus.
Just before 10:30 p.m., investigators executed a search warrant for a residence on Stilling Lane, a vehicle and a backpack. Police seized 5,236.0 grams fentanyl (Pink, blue, yellow and purple), 7,544 grams methamphetamine, 2,045 grams cocaine, 8 litres of Gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), $2,987 in Canadian currency, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Both men were taken to Saskatoon police cells where they were held in custody pending first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on May 15,on charges of drug trafficking, possession of controlled substances and being in possession of property obtained by proceeds of crime.
