SASKATOON — Police are investigating after a woman used bear spray inside a gas station convenience store in the city’s west end Thursday night, leaving several staff members suffering from its effects.
At approximately 9:50 p.m., May 14, Saskatoon police were called to a gas station in the 1600 block of 20th Street West. Several staff were suffering from the effects of bear spray. They reported that a woman had been in the store damaging items and was escorted outside by security guards.
The woman was handed bear spray by another male in the parking lot. She then returned inside the business and deployed bear spray before fleeing.
She was described as wearing a red jacket and black pants.
The staff were treated for injuries consistent with the effects of bear spray.
