Before the roar of Mosaic Stadium, there was Taylor Field, and a small team taking a big step onto the national stage.
On May 21, 1946, the Regina Roughriders officially joined what would become the Canadian Football League. Saskatchewan fans had supported the Riders since 1910 when they were known as the Regina Rugby Club.
Post-war expansion brought the team into the national spotlight. Over the years, championships, heartbreaks, and Grey Cup parades forged an identity bigger than the game of football itself.
