CARNDUFF — Update: This preplanned lockdown drill in Carnduff has been postponed until a later date.
Original post: Carnduff RCMP and other local emergency services are conducting a preplanned lockdown drill at Carnduff Education Complex the morning of May 21.
This is not an emergency.
Police are advising of the preplanned exercise due to the increased police presence and emergency personnel around the school and in the town of Carnduff. There is no risk to public safety.
As part of continued efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness, the Saskatchewan RCMP takes part in the School Action for Emergencies (SAFE) program. Additionally, all RCMP officers receive active‑threat training through the Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD) policy and program.
