ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service (EPS) says four people have been charged in connection with separate drug busts in the city.
According to an EPS news release issued May 22, the Drug Intelligence Unit, in conjunction with members of the Patrol Division, arrested and charged 47-year-old Jamie Molyneux of Estevan on May 19 for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
As a component of the investigation, the EPS said a search warrant was authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and executed on Molyneux’s vehicle in December 2025. During the search, the EPS said police seized cocaine with an estimated street value exceeding $4,000.
The investigation that resulted in him being charged was ongoing until his arrest, the EPS said.
The EPS said Molyneux was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on June 15 to speak to the charge.
Then on May 20, as the result of a drug trafficking investigation, the EPS said the Drug Intelligence Unit, in conjunction with the patrol division, arrested and charged three people for drug trafficking offences.
According to the EPS, Cyrus Ackrill, age 31, has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, break and enter to a residence and possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public:
Also, the EPS reported Brandyn Schilling, 30, and Morgan Kjersem, 21, both of Estevan, have also been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Through the investigation, the EPS said search warrants were authorized under the CDSA and executed on a hotel room in central Estevan, a trailer in the Valleyview area and a vehicle. During the search, the EPS said police seized cocaine and methamphetamine with an estimated street value exceeding $15,000, expandable batons and evidence of drug trafficking.
Ackrill, Schilling and Kjersem were remanded into custody, the EPS said, and are scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on May 25.
