It's a kneel down for the final play of the game, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders close out their preseason schedule with a wild 31-27 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers!

8:09 p.m.
Interception Roughriders! Jones perfectly reads Perkins' deep pass and hauls it in at the Riders 44, returns it to the Winnipeg 53 and it's Rider ball with 12 seconds remaining!

8:06 p.m.
Pass over the middle gets Winnipeg down to the Saskatchewan 45, but Perkins is sacked for six yard loss by Weaver with 18 seconds to play

8:04 p.m.
Winnipeg gets the ball on their own 39 after the kickoff, 37 seconds left on the clock.

8:03 p.m.
TOUCHDOWN ROUGHRIDERS! Wiebe gets in front of his man on his route, and Schager finds him over the middle for the major! Point after is good, and it's a 31-27 Saskatchewan lead with 42 seconds left in the game! Excellent drive by Schager, seven plays, 84 yards.

8:01 p.m.
Pass to Johnson III and a short run by Schager and it's first and goal with 45 seconds to play.

7:59 p.m.
Roughing the passer penalty gets Saskatchewan into the red zone at the Winnipeg 14 with 1:18 left in the game.

7:57 p.m.
Back to back catches by Janneh Jr. for 39 yards and 12 yards, and the Riders are in Winnipeg territory at the 48 with 1:19 to play

7:56 p.m.
Winnipeg starts their next drive from their own 25 after a holding penalty, and a stuffed run and incomplete pass sees the Bombers punting. Saskatchewan gets the ball back on their own 11 after a penalty, 1:51 remaiining on the clock.

7:51 p.m.
Riders decide to go for a field goal on third-and-five from the Winnipeg 27, and Kim's 35-yard attempt is good to make it a 27-24 game with 2:34 remaining in the game.

7:46 p.m.
McBean has an eight-yard catch to the Winnipeg 37, and that's where things stand at the three-minute warning.

7:44 p.m.
A second-and-five catch by Johnson III goes for 20 yards, Riders into Winnipeg territory at the 45 with 3:29 to play.

7:42 p.m.
That's where the Riders defence stiffens, and after a near interception by Burgess on a throw to the end zone, the Bombers hit a field goal from 33 yards for a 27-21 lead with 4:27 to play.

7:40 p.m.
Cocoran hauls in a pass on second-and-14 for 22 yards and Winnipeg is at the Riders 22

7:38 p.m.
Singer catches 15-yard pass to get into Saskatchewan territory at the Riders 44 with 7:17 left in the game.

7:34 p.m.
Two-and-out, Riders punt, and Winnipeg has good field position at their 51 with 8:52 remaining.

7:32 p.m.
A nice return by Sexton is partially negated by a holding penalty, Riders have the ball on their own 30 with 10:11 left.

7:30 p.m.
And another Winnipeg pick six. Schager is back in and his pass is picked off by Clinton, he goes 42 yards for the major. 24-21 Winnipeg and their defence has just as many points as their offence.

7:25 p.m.
Perkins is in at QB for Winnipeg and two plays later Winnipeg is punting from their own 16. Riders end up with the ball on their own 39 with 10:44 to play.

7:21 p.m.
Drive stalls there, Mirco gets off a great punt and Winnipeg starts their next drive on their own eight with 12:38 left in the game.

7:20 p.m.
An ugly facemasking penalty is missed by the officials, but the review catches it. Schager has to leave the game for Stevens. Winnipeg takes a roughing the passer penalty, and Riders are up to the Winnipeg 41.

7:14 p.m.
Schager scrambles and completes a pass over the middle to Johnson III for 23 yards to the Riders 40, and that's where the third quarter comes to an end.

7:13 p.m.
Another Riders interception! The ball goes off the hands of one Riders defender, and Bell hauls in the tipped pass at the Saskatchewan 15 with 1:04 left in the third quarter.

7:10 p.m.
A 12-yard run by Chris-Ike and 23-yard catch by Singer and Winnipeg is into Riders territory at the 34.

7:09 p.m.
Winnipeg interception, and it's weird one. Schager has to scramble again, his pass to the sideline goes off Wiebe and bounces into the hands of Winnipeg's Texada. Bombers ball on the Winnipeg 41 with 3:03 left in the third quarter.

7:05 p.m.
Schager is flushed from the pocket on back-to-back plays and throws two incompletions, but Riders challenge the second missed catch for pass interference. The call is overtuned, and the drive continues at the Winnipeg 44.

7:03 p.m.
Three more plays for positive yardage, including an11-yard catch by Janneh, and Saskatchewan is in Winnipeg territory at the 54 with 3:52 left in the third quarter.

7:01 p.m.
Schager is into the game at QB for Saskatchewan, with a short run and pass to Janneh getting the Riders up to their own 34.

6:58 p.m.
Interception Roughriders! Burgess Jr. snares an errant pass by Elgersma at the Riders 16, and it's Saskatchewan ball with 7:17 left in the third quarter!

6:54 p.m.
Winnipeg starts their next drive on their own 34, and a pass over the middle to Singer for 21 immediately has them in Riders territory on the 51.

6:53 p.m.
TOUCHDOWN ROUGHRIDERS! Coan finishes off the drive with a perfect touch pass to Johnson III wide open in the back of the end zone, and Saskatchewan has their first lead of the game! Eight plays, 69 yards, 21-17 Riders with 9:42 left in the third quarter.

6:50 p.m.
Drive is extended by a pass interference call and the Riders are into the red zone at the Bombers 12.

6:48 p.m.
Another great leaping catch by Janneh on the sideline and Saskatchewan is in business att he Winnipeg 28.

6:47 p.m.
Run by Anderson and 15-yard catch by Janneh on a nice sideline catch and Riders are into Winnipeg territory at the 49.

6:44 p.m.
Riders get the ball to start the third quarter, after a delay of game penalty, it's Saskatchewan ball on their own 42.

6:22 p.m.
Couple of runs into the teeth of the Saskatchewan defence and that's the end of the first half. Riders trail by three at the break.

6:21 p.m.
Coan is sacked for a six-yard loss to end the drive, Kim has a 40-yard field goal and he's good once again. 17-14 Winnipeg with 11.1 seconds left.

6:19 p.m.
Passes to Johnson and Mimbs and the Riders are up to the Winnipeg 29 with 35 seconds left in the half.

6:18 p.m.
A two-and-out leads to a punt deep in the Winnipeg zone, Riders get the ball on the Bombers 46 with 50 seconds remaining.

6:15 p.m.
That's where the drive stalls, Hale attempts 57-yard field goal but it's wide right, Winnipeg runs it out, and it's Bombers ball on their own 11 with 1:30 remaining in the half.

6:14 p.m.
A pair of runs and a pass over the middle to Sexton gets Riders into Winnipeg territory at the 49 with 1:39 to play.

6:11 p.m.
Couple of short plays and an unnecessary roughness penalty sees Winnipeg punt, and Riders get the ball on their own 45 with 2:38 left in the half.

6:04 p.m.
Drive stalls at the Riders 42, great punt by Mirco settles in the Winnipeg end zone and it's a single. 17-11 Calgary with 3:41 to play in opening half.

5:59 p.m.
A short run by Conley and pass to Mariner and the Riders are out of the shadow of their goalposts at their own 14 with 7:15 left in the quarter.

5:56 p.m.
Drive stalls at the Saskatchewan 36, Lidster has a 44-yard field goal attempt and it's wide right. Riders just get the ball out and start the drive from their own two..

5:50 p.m.
Riders get a sack on first down, but Clercius makes a short catch and goes 19 yards into Saskatchewan territory at the 52.

5:48 p.m.
A short run and a Coan takes another hit with a sack for a nine-yard lost. Kim has a 51-yard field goal attempt and he's good, 17-10 Winnipeg with 12:56 to play in the half.

5:46 p.m.
Big play by the Riders right off the hop on their next drive, as Anderson runs for 30 yards to the Winnipeg 40.

5:43 p.m.
Riders nearly get a sack on second down, but a Elgersma escapes and gets up to the Riders 42. Lidster has a 50-yard field goal and it's good. 17-7 Winnipeg at the end of the first quarter.

5:40 p.m.
Coan is back in at QB for the Riders and it's a couple of incomplete passes for a two-and-out. Punt is shanked out of bounds, Winnipeg gets the ball on Saskatchewan 45.

5:37 p.m.
Haynes nearly has an interception, Winnipeg goes two and out, Riders ball on their own 39.

5:35 p.m.
Stevens in at QB for Riders, drive starts on their own 37, but it's a two-and-out and Winnipeg gets the ball back on their own 31.

5:32 p.m.
Touchdown Winnipeg. Coan is in at quarterback for the Riders, and two plays later Winnipeg has a pick six. A high throw to KeeSean goes off his hands, Holm returns it it 55 yards for the major. 14-7 Winnipeg with 5:02 to play in the quarter.

5:26 p.m.
Taylor Elgersma makes his much balleyhooed debut at quarterback for the Bombers, but it's a quick two-and-out and the Riders get the ball back on their own 46 after a no yards penalty. 6:28 to play in the first quarter.

5:23 p.m.
TOUCHDOWN ROUGHRIDERS! Now that's a response! KSB has a nice second-effort catch to get down to the Winnipeg two, and one play later, Ouellette punches it in. Extra point is good, five plays, 82 yards and it's 7-7 with 7:50 to play in the opening quarter.

5:21 p.m.
Huge play for the Riders! Harris finds KeeSean over the middle and he rumbles 48 yards all the way down to the Winnipeg 24.

5:18 p.m.
Trevor Harris' offence starts their first drive of the game at their own 24.

5:16 p.m.
Touchdown Winnipeg. Bombers have absolutely no problem with the Riders' starting defence, as Collaros runs to the two and Oliviera finishes it off one play later. Seven plays, 66 yards and Winnipeg has a 7-0 lead with 10:53 to play in the first quarter.

5:13 p.m.
A 15-yard catch and leaping 22-yard catch by White and Winnipeg is in the red zone at the eight yard line.

5:10 p.m.
We're underway! Winnipeg gets the ball on their own 46 after the kickoff and one play later White has a 20 yard catch into Riders territory at the 44.

5:08 p.m.
Winnipeg wins the coin toss and will get the ball to start the game. Kickoff is imminent!

It’s going to be an absolutely perfect day for football in Saskatoon, with a temperature of 23 C and winds out of the southwest at 15 km/h expected at kickoff. It’ll be mainly sunny throughout the game, with no precipitation in the forecast. And, because of course someone will ask, no smoke!

It’s the game fans of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Saskatoon have been waiting for, as the Green and White take the field against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Griffiths Stadium in a few hours’ time.

The Riders have spent the last two weeks in the Bridge City working their way through the first stages of training camp, and it all comes to a head with today’s Canadian Football League preseason contest at the home of the U of S Huskies.

Saskatchewan is coming off a 20-15 loss to the Calgary Stampeders in their preseason opener last weekend, but as the depth chart will attest too, they’ll be taking the field with a much, much different roster this time around. Both the starting offence and defence feature a ton of veterans from their Grey Cup-winning campaign, so fans can expect a much smoother and cohesive unit this time around.

Conversely, this is the first exhibition game for the Blue Bombers, who like the rest of the CFL didn’t play in Week 1 of the preseason.

You can catch all the action on the Riders Broadcast Network, with the pre-game show hitting the air at 2 p.m., followed by Dave Thomas and Luc Mullinder with the game call at 5 p.m.
