REGINA — A Regina man arrested for driving his motorcycle about 100 km/h past Candy Cane Park – a 40 km/h zone that was filled with families and park-goers – has been released on bail.
Muhammad Rehan, 26, is charged with dangerous driving and breach of a Conditional Sentence Order (CSO).
Rehan was released on bail on May 15. He is scheduled back in court on June 10 to update the court on whether he is getting counsel.
He was arrested on May 1 after Regina Police Service say that around 7:45 p.m. on May 1, patrol officers near Albert Street and Gordon Road spotted a group of motorcycles travelling without licence plates. Police called in Air 1, which tracked the group from above.
Air 1 continued to track the group and relay their location to officers on the ground. A canine unit officer eventually initiated a traffic stop on Lakeshore Drive, where the group pulled over. Investigators identified the driver responsible for the dangerous driving, and released the others.
His motorcycle was seized and impounded for 30 days.
In November 2025, he was sentenced to a two-year CSO to be served in the community. He was also given a 10-year firearms prohibition, and ordered to provide his DNA to the National DNA Databank.
