REGINA — The RM of Edenwold is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the start of summer during the third annual RM 158 Rock n’ Field Day on June 13.
The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the RM of Edenwold Rural Shop near Balgonie.
What began as a local gathering has grown into an annual community event bringing together families, farmers and local organizations.
Visitors can enjoy a free barbecue hosted by Reeve Al Trainor and RM council, with hamburgers and hotdogs served throughout the day.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Beachside Romeos, who will perform two sets beginning at 11 a.m. featuring pop, reggae, blues and country music.
“This event continues to grow every year, and that’s a reflection of the incredible community spirit we have here in the RM of Edenwold,” said Trainor.
“Rock n’ Field Day is a chance for people to come together, enjoy a great day with family and friends, and celebrate the agriculture, people and partnerships that make our municipality such a special place to call home.”
Free family activities will include a bouncy castle, face painting, cornhole, giant Jenga and pet rock painting.
Guests will also be able to explore displays of modern and vintage farm equipment, along with RM machinery used to maintain roads, infrastructure and municipal services.
While the barbecue is free, donations will be accepted in support of CC RezQs Regina, a rescue organization that provides care and homes for dogs throughout the region.
The RM of Edenwold Rural Shop is located off Highway 46 on Range Road 2175 north of Balgonie.
Organizers say the event will take place rain or shine.
