The vehicle was spotted near Boychuk Drive, and officers needed to close a seven-kilometre gap before pulling it over.
Police say the driver, who held a novice license, was issued a $1,515 ticket for exceeding the speed limit by at least double, and given a seven-day license suspension. The vehicle was then impounded for 30 days.
According to CPPS, officers also spoke with the occupants about the risks of extreme speeding and the consequences of high-speed collisions.
