SASKATOON — Police are investigating two separate stabbings that occurred over the weekend, sending two men to hospital.
Saskatoon police say they were called to the first incident on May 30, at approximately 9:30 p.m., in the 1000 block of Matheson Drive for a report that a man had been stabbed.
Officers arrived to find a 33-year-old man with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing. Paramedics arrived on scene shortly after and the man was taken to hospital.
On May 31, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers were called to the 800 block of Confederation Drive for a report of an injured person. Responding officers found a 31-year-old man with what were later determined to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.
Through their continued investigation, Saskatoon police learned the victim was reportedly assaulted by multiple people, one of which had a machete.
