REGINA — A province-wide Gallery Hop is one of the highlights of Saskatchewan Art Gallery Day being celebrated by commercial art galleries across the province Saturday, June 6.
The Gallery Hop invites participants to explore the creative spaces that shape Saskatchewan's cultural and economic landscape.
The week also features special exhibitions and artist events.
"Each year, on Saskatchewan Art Gallery Day, our province's commercial galleries come together to celebrate all of the incredible original art being sold and created in Saskatchewan," says SaskGalleries Executive Director, Kristin Wagman.
"In addition to our provincial Gallery Hop, special events at participating galleries this year include artist meet and greets, live art demonstrations, receptions and more."
Participants can enter for their chance to win a $500 SaskGalleries gift card, when they visit a participating gallery. A full list of participating galleries, exhibitions, and events is available at //saskgalleries.ca/art-gallery-day.
Saskatchewan's commercial galleries represent more than 850 professional artists. Most are locally owned, independent businesses that serve as links between artists and audiences, providing not only exhibition space but also professional representation, marketing, and community outreach.

"More than just a place to find your next great piece of original art, these galleries bring people together to experience culture, celebrate local talent, and fall in love with original works. These galleries help make it possible for professional artists to live and work in Saskatchewan."
