MEADOW LAKE — A trial for Lennex Merasty-Morin didn’t proceed in Meadow Lake Provincial Court as scheduled on June 1. Instead, on June 9, the matter was adjourned to June 29 to be spoken to, and he was released on bail.
He is now under house arrest with a curfew from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Merasty-Morin was arrested in January by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team (CRT), with support from the RCMP Critical Incident Response Team. On Jan. 27, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Flying Dust Dust First Nation as part of an ongoing drug trafficking and firearms investigation, seizing 10 firearms and methamphetamine from the home.
