REGINA — Update: The Regina Police Service reports the police operation in the 2000 block of Elliot Street is now concluded. The public is free to resume their activities as per normal.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on June 9, police were dispatched to a weapons call at a residence in the 2000 block of Elliot Street. Information received indicated a male suspect was outside the residence holding a firearm. Due to the increased risk to public safety, the Regina Police Service SWAT Team and Canine Unit were called in to assist Patrol officers. Several people were taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing and, at this time, no charges have been laid.
The Regina Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation.
