BEAUVAL – Beauval RCMP charged a man after he allegedly assaulted officers and damaged a police vehicle.
On June 8 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Beauval RCMP received a report of a man causing a disturbance at a residence in Beauval.
Officers responded and determined an altercation occurred between the man and a group of individuals at the residence. During the altercation, the man damaged a door. He later left the property.
Shortly after, Beauval RCMP received a report that the same man had reportedly damaged a police vehicle parked outside a residence in Beauval. The man was located and arrested.
During the arrest, the man allegedly threatened and assaulted the responding police officers.
As a result of continued investigation, a 28-year-old man, from Saskatoon, is charged with:
- one count, resist/obstruct peace officer;
- one count, assault on police officer;
- two counts, mischief under $5,000 – damage to property;
- one count, mischief over $5,000 – damage to motor vehicle;
- one count, uttering threats against a person,; and
- one count, fail to comply with probation order.
The accused appeared in court in Buffalo Narrows on June 10
