SASKATOON — Four men from Toronto were arrested after Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Crime Reduction Team (CRT) dismantled a drug trafficking operation.
The four men, ranging in age from 24 to 27, face a combined 28 charges and made their first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on June 8.
Martin Kwadwo Duah was remanded and returns to court on June 15 for a bail hearing.
Maleek Deonandre Noel Reid was also remanded. He has a bail hearing set for June 17.
Daekwan Skene-Dennis was remanded and has a bail hearing on July 14.
Jahsiah Brown was remanded on June 8 but was released on June 9. He is back in court on June 25 to enter a plea.
Their arrest followed SPS CRT investigators executing two search warrants on June 4 in the Rosewood and Evergreen neighbourhoods as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.
With assistance from the SPS Tactical Support Unit, police raided homes in the 2500 block of Meadows Parkway and the 100 block of Akhtar Bend.
At the two homes, police seized 2,829 grams of cocaine, $33,949 CAD, $899 USD, $28,500 in counterfeit currency, a loaded Glock 23 pistol and ammunition, prohibited magazines, packaging, scales, cell phones, high end jewellery, bags, and shoes.
