PUNNICHY — Another court appearance has been made by a Kelliher man arrested after a kidnapping involving a firearm in the town.
Adrian Frank, 31, was in Punnichy Provincial Court June 11, where he was remanded in custody until June 16 for a bail hearing.
Punnichy RCMP say that on March 19, the suspect pointed a firearm at a man who was sitting in a parked vehicle outside a Kelliher business.
The suspect ordered the victim to drive him to George Gordon First Nation.
When two people there tried to assist the victim, the suspect allegedly broke a vehicle window and deployed bear spray at them.
A search of the suspect and the vehicle turned up a sawed-off firearm, ammunition, two cans of bear spray, a machete, a baton, about 36 grams of crystal meth, 24 grams of fentanyl and six grams of magic mushrooms.
