REGINA — Members of the Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS) were called to a structure fire in the 1700-block of St. John Street early on June 13.
According to a message on the RFPS X account, the fire was located on the second floor and in the roof. Searches were completed and the all clear was given on each floor. No injuries were reported.
Crews were called to the fire at 6:38 a.m. The RFPS sent a follow-up message at 11:28 a.m. that said the fire was under control. At that time, crews were continuing to perform salvage and overhaul operations. An inspector was on scene to begin investigation into the cause of the fire.
People were asked to avoid the area while crews were at the scene.
