SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Serious Assault Unit (SAU) have charged two men in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred in Riversdale in late 2025.
A 54-year-old man was arrested with the assistance of SPS patrol on May 22. Through continued investigation and with the assistance of the Guns and Gangs Unit, a 34-year-old man was arrested on June 15.
The charges stem from an incident on Nov. 23, 2025. At approximately 1 p.m., police were called to the 300 block of 20th Street West where an injured man was seen in front of a business.
When officers arrived, they located a 37-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. SPS’s initial investigation led officers to the 200 block of Avenue D South, where the incident is believed to have occurred.
