MONTREAL LAKE CREE NATION – Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP have charged a woman with aggravated assault following an incident on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
On June 12 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP received a report of an injured female at a residence on Naytowhow Lane on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
The investigation determined an altercation occurred between two women at the residence. During the altercation, one woman was seriously injured. She was transported to hospital by STARS. The second woman fled from the residence.
Later that same day, Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP arrested a woman at a separate residence on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
29-year-old Allison Bird, from Montreal Lake, is charged with:
- one count, aggravated assault; and
- two counts, fail to comply with probation order.
Bird appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 15.
Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Serious Crimes Unit.
