REGINA — A 38-year-old man has been arrested after police say he broke into a central Regina home, entered the victim’s bedroom, found her awake in bed, and fled with stolen items and later returning to the scene just minutes after police left.
On June 19, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Badham Boulevard for a report of a break and enter that had occurred earlier in the day. An iPad and alcohol were reported missing. Video surveillance showed a male suspect entering and exiting the residence.
Police completed the initial part of their investigation at the scene and left. But within minutes of leaving, police were dispatched back to the same address for a report of a man attempting to gain entry again. When officers arrived, they located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
He is charged with break and enter. He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on June 22.
