REGINA — Three male youths are facing several charges following a robbery in the city’s north end Saturday evening.
On June 20, at approximately 5:15 p.m., police were called to the 300 block of Rink Avenue for a report of a robbery. The victim reported four male youths approached him, threatened him and demanded his shoes. The victim handed over his shoes to the suspects, who then fled on foot.
A short time later, patrol officers located the suspects in the area of Rochdale Boulevard and Lakeridge Drive. One of the suspects was found wearing the stolen shoes and two suspects were in possession of bear spray.
A 14-year-old has been charged with robbery. A 16-year-old faces charges of robbery and possession of a weapon. A 15-year-old is facing charges of robbery, possession of a weapon, and failing to comply with a condition of a release order.
The three youth will make their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Youth Court on July 22.
