REGINA — Over a dozen fish were left at Last Mountain Lake Regional Park, prompting Regina conservation officers to launch an investigation.
According to SaskTips social media page, on June 24, officers received information regarding roughly 24 wasted fish fillets, suspected to be walleye.
According to Saskatchewan law, angled fish in the province cannot be wasted if they are fit for human consumption.
The fish were discovered in a filleting shack, and with no clear indication of who left them there, officers are asking the public to provide any information that may help identify those responsible.
A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the individuals responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to Turn In Poachers and Polluters at 1-800-667-7561, with callers having the option to remain anonymous.
