SASKATOON — A 26-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery after 70-year-old woman stabbed during an attempted robbery in Saskatoon. It was reported that a woman was stabbed by an unknown man who attempted to take her bag.
On July 7, at around 2:45 p.m., police received a report relating to the stabbing of the 70-year-old woman the day prior. The caller information indicated that the suspect was observed walking southbound on 4th Avenue.
Responding officers located a male matching the suspect description in the area of 4th Avenue North between 23rd Street and 24th Street. He was arrested without further incident shortly after.
The woman was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.
