The Regina Pats have signed Tomas Cermak, the defenceman they selected in the third round of the 2026 CHL import draft. The contract was announced by the team Monday.
Cermak was selected 85th by the Pats in the import draft last month after recording five goals and 15 points in 48 games this past season for BK Mladá Boleslav U20 in the Czech U20 league. The 18-year-old is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-shot blueliner from PlzeĆ, Czechia.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing Tomas in a Pats sweater as we feel he has the tools to be a dependable two-way defenceman for our squad,” Pats general manager Dale Derkatch said in a statement.
