The race for first place in the WCBL East Division remains deadlocked after another big night for both the Moose Jaw Miller Express and Saskatoon Berries.
The Miller Express stretched their winning streak to eight games with a dominant 18-3 victory over the Fort McMurray Giants.
Moose Jaw erupted for six runs in the first inning and added five more in the third. Garryn Plummer led the offence with three hits, including a home run, while Michael Rago and Eduardo Saenz each drove in four runs. Jacob Glazener picked up the win after tossing seven solid innings.
The Saskatoon Berries kept pace by winning their fifth straight, defeating the Lethbridge Bulls 7-4. Gael Salinas collected three hits and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning, while Brock Laird added four hits as the Berries improved to 26-11, matching Moose Jaw for top spot in the East.
In Regina, the Brooks Bombers broke open a tie game with eight late runs to defeat the Red Sox 17-8.
Maverick McAllister highlighted the seventh inning with a three-run double, while Brady Bye hit his 10th home run of the season for Regina.
Meanwhile, the Energy City Cactus Rats built an early seven-run lead and cruised to a 10-2 win over the Swift Current 57's.
Steven Fermin had four hits, including a homer and triple, while Hudson Unger went a perfect 4-for-4 in the loss for Swift Current.
Elsewhere, the Medicine Hat Mavericks split a doubleheader, falling 10-0 to Sylvan Lake before bouncing back with a 7-5 victory over the Weyburn Beavers.
